Board of Contract Appeals

The Board of Contract Appeals is a specialized agency that reviews and resolves disputes between government agencies and contractors for federal projects. When a contractor and a government agency disagree over a contract issue—such as payment, performance, or scope—the disputing party can bring the case to the Board. The Board evaluates the evidence and makes a formal decision, much like a court. Its goal is to provide a fair, efficient process for resolving contractual disagreements without needing to go to court.
