Boabdil (Muhammad XII)

Boabdil, also known as Muhammad XII, was the last Muslim ruler of Granada, a kingdom in southern Spain. Born in the late 15th century, he became sultan during a tumultuous time marked by the Reconquista, a campaign by Christian kingdoms to reclaim Spain. In 1492, Boabdil surrendered Granada to King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, marking the end of Muslim rule in Spain.
