Blue Whiteners

Blue whiteners are additives used in laundry detergents to enhance the brightness and whiteness of fabrics. They contain optical brighteners—special chemicals that absorb UV light and emit visible blue light. This bluish hue counteracts fabric's natural yellowing or graying, making clothes appear whiter and more vibrant to the human eye. They are effective in both laundry and cleaning products, providing a visually cleaner appearance without actually altering the fabric's material. However, they don’t remove dirt or stains—they simply improve the visual perception of cleanliness.
