Blue skin

Blue skin, medically known as cyanosis, occurs when there is a significant amount of deoxygenated hemoglobin in the blood, giving the skin and mucous membranes a bluish tint. This often indicates that the body or parts of it are not getting enough oxygen due to lung or heart problems, such as asthma, pneumonia, or congenital heart defects. Cyanosis can be localized or widespread and requires prompt medical evaluation to identify and treat the underlying cause, ensuring adequate oxygen delivery to body tissues.
