Blue giants
Blue giants are massive, luminous stars that are extremely hot and burn their fuel rapidly. Their high surface temperatures give them a blue appearance, distinguishing them from other stars. These stars are much larger and more energetic than our Sun, often exceeding it in size and brightness several times over. Because of their intense heat and energy, blue giants have relatively short lifespans in astronomical terms—typically only a few million years before evolving into other types of stars or ending their lives in supernova explosions. They are key players in the lifecycle of galaxies, influencing their surroundings with their radiation and stellar winds.
