Blowout Prevention (BOP) systems

Blowout Prevention (BOP) systems are critical safety devices used in the oil and gas industry to prevent uncontrolled releases of oil or gas, known as blowouts. When drilling wells, high pressure can push oil or gas to the surface unexpectedly. BOPs are installed on the wellhead and can seal off the well to stop this flow if it occurs. They use a series of valves and rams to contain pressure and protect workers, equipment, and the environment. Essentially, BOP systems are the first line of defense against potentially catastrophic situations during drilling operations.
