Blood substitute
Blood substitutes are products designed to mimic blood’s ability to carry oxygen and support circulation when real blood transfusions aren't possible or sufficient. They are typically made of oxygen-carrying molecules, such as hemoglobin or similar compounds, often suspended in a fluid. These substitutes help deliver oxygen to tissues during surgeries or emergencies, especially when blood supply is limited, quickly restoring oxygen levels and maintaining vital functions. They are used as temporary solutions and do not replace all functions of natural blood, such as clotting or immune response.
