Blood Cells

Blood cells are specialized cells circulating in your blood, performing vital functions. There are three main types: red blood cells, which carry oxygen from your lungs to your tissues and remove carbon dioxide; white blood cells, which defend against infections and help your immune system; and platelets, which assist in blood clotting to prevent excessive bleeding. Together, these cells maintain your body's overall health, ensuring oxygen delivery, infection resistance, and wound healing. Blood cells are produced mainly in the bone marrow and continually replace old or damaged cells to keep your circulatory and immune systems functioning properly.
