Blood Births
Blood births refer to instances where a newborn is born from a mother with certain blood types that lead to complications. This phenomenon can occur when the mother’s blood type is incompatible with her baby's, notably involving the Rh factor or ABO blood type system. If the mother is Rh-negative and the baby is Rh-positive, the mother's body might produce antibodies against the baby's red blood cells, risking serious health issues for the newborn. To prevent complications, routine testing and medical interventions, such as administering Rh immune globulin during pregnancy, are often employed.
