Bloch's Law

Bloch's Law states that the human eye's sensitivity to light depends on the wavelength, or color, of the light. Specifically, it shows that the eye is most sensitive to greenish light around 555 nanometers, meaning we perceive it as the brightest at low light levels. This law helps explain how we perceive brightness differently across colors and is fundamental in fields like lighting design and vision science. Essentially, it tells us that under low-light conditions, our perception of brightness varies with color, with green appearing brighter than reds or blues at the same intensity.
