Blazars
Blazars are a type of active galaxy with a supermassive black hole at its center, pulling in material and creating a bright, energetic core. What makes blazars special is that one of their jets—streams of charged particles moving at near the speed of light—is pointed almost directly toward Earth. This alignment causes their brightness to appear extremely intense and variable. Blazars emit radiation across the entire electromagnetic spectrum, including visible light, X-rays, and gamma rays, making them some of the most energetic and dynamic objects in the universe.
