Blast Furnace technology
A blast furnace is a large industrial device used to produce iron from its ore. It works by continuously adding iron ore, coke (a fuel), and limestone into the top. Hot air is blown into the bottom, causing the coke to burn and generate intense heat. This chemical reaction separates the iron from impurities, transforming it into molten iron that collects at the bottom. The process efficiently produces raw iron for steelmaking, with waste gases being vented out. The blast furnace is a crucial technology that allows large-scale, cost-effective iron production essential for construction, transportation, and manufacturing.
