Blake's Formula

Blake's Formula is used to estimate kidney function by calculating the Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR), which indicates how effectively the kidneys filter waste from the blood. It considers a person’s age, gender, and serum creatinine levels—a waste product measured through a blood test. The formula adjusts for differences in muscle mass and other factors, providing a more accurate assessment of kidney health without needing a urine collection.
