Bladder Pressure Testing

Bladder pressure testing measures the pressure inside the bladder to assess how well the bladder and urethra are functioning. During the test, a thin catheter (tube) is inserted into the bladder through the urethra. The bladder is filled with water or sterile fluid, and sensors monitor pressure changes as the bladder fills and during contraction. This helps identify issues like overactive bladder, weakness of the pelvic muscles, or obstruction. The procedure provides valuable information to diagnose urinary problems and plan appropriate treatment, typically performed in a clinical setting with minimal discomfort.
