Blackhole Routing
Blackhole routing is a network technique where certain data packets are intentionally discarded or ignored by routers, effectively "sending them into a black hole." This is used to block unwanted traffic, such as malicious attacks or misrouted data, by preventing it from reaching its destination. Instead of bouncing back or causing network issues, these packets are silently dropped, improving security and network stability. Think of it as a way to silently absorb problematic or irrelevant data, ensuring the rest of the network runs smoothly without disturbance.
