Blackfoot (Blood) Nation

The Blackfoot Nation, also known as the Siksikáȧitapi or Blood Tribe, is a Native American group primarily located in Montana and Alberta. They are part of the larger Blackfoot Confederacy, along with the Piedmont and Kainai nations. Historically, the Blackfoot were nomadic buffalo hunters, significant in the Plains culture. Today, they manage their affairs through tribal governments, preserving their language, traditions, and sovereignty. The Blood Tribe is recognized for its rich cultural heritage, ongoing efforts to revitalize their language and customs, and contributions to regional history and identity.
