Blackbeard
Blackbeard was a notorious pirate active in the early 18th century, known for his fearsome appearance and ruthless tactics. His real name was Edward Teach (or Thatch), and he operated mainly in the Caribbean and along the southeastern coast of the American colonies. Blackbeard commanded a ship called the Queen Anne’s Revenge and used intimidation, violence, and strategic deception to seize merchant vessels. His reputation for terror and adventure has immortalized him as one of history’s most infamous pirates. He was killed in a confrontation with naval forces in 1718, ending his reign of maritime fear.
