Black sites

Black sites are secret detention facilities operated by governments or intelligence agencies outside of public oversight or legal jurisdiction. They are used to imprison and interrogate suspects involved in national security or covert operations. Because they are hidden from public view and official oversight, details about these sites are often classified, leading to concerns about human rights violations and lack of accountability.
