Black September
Black September was a Palestinian militant organization active in the early 1970s, named after the conflict in Jordan in September 1970. They aimed to advocate for Palestinian rights and oppose Israeli actions, sometimes through violent means. The group is most infamous for the 1972 Munich Olympics hostage crisis, where they took Israeli athletes captive, resulting in the deaths of eleven athletes and one German police officer. Black September operated primarily through targeted attacks and was linked to the broader Palestinian struggle for independence, seeking to draw international attention to their cause.
