Black English
Black English, often called African American Vernacular English (AAVE), is a legitimate and rule-governed variety of English spoken by many Black communities. It has unique pronunciation patterns, grammar rules, and vocabulary that have developed over generations through cultural history and social interactions. AAVE is used in everyday conversation, music, and literature, and is recognized as a distinct linguistic dialect. It is not inferior or incorrect but represents a rich cultural identity and linguistic evolution within African American communities.
