Bits
A bit, short for "binary digit," is the smallest unit of digital information used in computing. It can have one of two values: 0 or 1. These bits serve as the building blocks for all digital data, and when combined in groups, they can represent complex information like numbers, text, images, or videos. Think of bits as the fundamental switches in a computer's electronic circuitry, turning on (1) or off (0). The more bits used, the greater the amount of data or the higher the resolution of a digital representation.
