BIS (Bispectral Index)

The Bispectral Index (BIS) is a monitoring tool used during anesthesia to assess a patient's level of consciousness. It interprets brain activity through EEG (electroencephalogram) signals and provides a numerical score from 0 to 100, where lower numbers indicate deeper sedation or unconsciousness.
