BiPAP AVAPS mode

BiPAP AVAPS (Average Volume-Assured Pressure Support) mode is a form of breathing support provided by a ventilator. It adjusts the air pressure delivered to ensure a consistent, pre-set volume of air reaches the lungs each breath, accommodating changes in the patient’s needs. The "BiPAP" offers two pressure levels—higher for inhaling and lower for exhaling—making breathing more comfortable. AVAPS automatically modifies the pressure support to maintain the target volume, helping patients with conditions like sleep apnea or neuromuscular diseases breathe effectively and comfortably during sleep or illness.
