Biotherapy
Biotherapy, also known as immunotherapy, is a treatment that harnesses or enhances the body's immune system to fight diseases like cancer. Instead of directly attacking the disease, biotherapy stimulates the immune system to recognize and destroy abnormal cells more effectively. It includes methods such as boosting immune responses with specialized proteins (like cytokines), using monoclonal antibodies to target specific disease markers, or modifying immune cells outside the body and reintroducing them. This personalized approach aims to improve treatment outcomes by empowering the body's natural defenses to combat illness.
