Biophysical Profile (BPP)

A Biophysical Profile (BPP) is a test used during pregnancy to assess a baby's well-being. It combines ultrasound exams and a non-stress test to check key signs of the baby's health, such as movement, muscle tone, breathing exercises, heart rate, and the amount of amniotic fluid. By evaluating these factors, healthcare providers can determine if the fetus is doing well or if delivery might be needed to ensure the baby's safety. The BPP provides valuable, real-time information about the baby's status without being invasive.
