Biometric Theory

Biometric Theory, proposed by Sir Francis Galton, suggests that intelligence is an inherited trait that can be measured through physical and behavioral characteristics, called "biometrics." These include factors like facial features, hand size, or other measurable traits. The theory posits that these biological markers can indicate a person's innate intellectual potential. While influential historically, this theory has been criticized for oversimplifying complex human abilities and ignoring environmental influences. Today, it is recognized that intelligence results from a combination of genetics and environment, making biometric theory a limited perspective on human intelligence.
