Biomass production
Biomass production refers to generating energy from organic materials such as plants, crop waste, wood, and other biological resources. Plants and other living organisms absorb sunlight through photosynthesis, converting it into chemical energy stored in their tissues. When these materials are harvested and burned or processed, the stored energy is released as heat or converted into biofuels like ethanol and biodiesel. Biomass is a renewable energy source because as long as we plant and harvest responsibly, it can be replenished naturally, making it a sustainable option for generating electricity, heating, and fuel.
