Biological mimicry
Biological mimicry is an evolutionary strategy where one species develops traits that resemble another species or its environment to gain an advantage. This can help a harmless organism avoid predators by imitating the appearance, behavior, or scent of a more dangerous or unappealing species, or it can aid predators in sneaking up on prey. Examples include a harmless insect resembling a toxic one to deter predators or a plant mimicking the appearance of a valuable resource to attract pollinators. Mimicry enhances survival and reproductive success by leveraging visual, chemical, or behavioral similarities.
