Biogenesis of vesicles
Biogenesis of vesicles refers to the process by which cells create small, membrane-bound sacs called vesicles. These vesicles originate mainly from parts of the cell's internal membrane system, such as the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. During biogenesis, these internal membranes bud off and form vesicles that transport proteins, lipids, and other molecules within the cell or to its exterior. This process is tightly regulated to ensure proper cell function, communication, and nutrient distribution. Essentially, vesicle biogenesis is the cell’s way of packaging and delivering materials efficiently and selectively.
