Bindusara (father)
Bindusara was an ancient Indian emperor, ruling around the 3rd century BCE, and the father of Chandragupta Maurya, the founder of the Mauryan Empire. He was known for expanding the empire's territory and strengthening its administration. Bindusara succeeded Chandragupta and maintained stability and order across a large part of India. His reign helped lay the foundation for the empire’s later growth under his son’s leadership. Though less celebrated than his son, Bindusara played a vital role in consolidating power and establishing the Mauryan dynasty's prominence in Indian history.
