Billy McKee

Billy McKee was an Irish republican and a founding member of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA), which aimed to end British rule in Northern Ireland and reunify Ireland. Born in 1921, he dedicated his life to the nationalist cause, participating in armed campaigns during The Troubles—a conflict from the late 1960s to the late 1990s. McKee was known for his leadership and commitment to his beliefs, often risking imprisonment.
