Bill (legislation)
A bill is a proposed law that lawmakers introduce to a legislative body, such as Congress or Parliament. It is the initial step in creating or changing laws. Once a bill is introduced, it is reviewed, debated, and possibly amended by lawmakers. If it passes through all necessary stages and receives approval, it becomes law. Essentially, a bill is a formal proposal that, after approval, has the power to regulate behaviors, establish rights, or impose obligations within a society.
