Bill Collectors
Bill collectors are professionals or companies hired by creditors to retrieve overdue payments from individuals who have not paid their bills on time. When a person defaults on a loan, credit card debt, or other financial obligation, the creditor may turn to a bill collector to contact the debtor, remind them of the debt, and arrange payment. They often use calls, letters, or emails to communicate. While their role is to recover funds, they must follow laws that protect consumers from unfair or abusive collection practices.
