Biliary System
The biliary system is a network of organs and ducts that produce, store, and transport bileāfluid essential for digesting fats. It includes the liver (which makes bile), the gallbladder (which stores and concentrates bile), and the bile ducts (which carry bile from the liver to the gallbladder and then to the small intestine). When you eat fatty foods, the system releases bile to help break down fats for absorption. Proper functioning of the biliary system is vital for digestion and the removal of waste products from the liver.
