Big6 Model

The Big6 Model is a research and problem-solving approach that helps people find, evaluate, and use information effectively. It involves six steps: (1) task definition – understanding what you need to do; (2) information seeking strategies – planning how to find information; (3) location and access – gathering sources; (4) use of information – processing and understanding what you find; (5) synthesis – organizing and combining information; and (6) evaluation – assessing the results and the process. This structured method promotes organized, efficient research and decision-making skills applicable to many projects and problems.
