Biblical chronology

Biblical chronology is the timeline of events recorded in the Bible, especially in the Old Testament, including creation, the flood, and the lives of key figures. Scholars often combine biblical data with historical and archaeological findings to estimate dates for these events. While there's variation, many believe the Earth is around 6,000–4,000 years old based on biblical genealogies, although others interpret the texts metaphorically or consider scientific evidence that suggests an older age for the planet. Ultimately, biblical chronology seeks to understand the sequence and timing of events as these are described within the religious texts.
