BIAB (Brew In A Bag)

Brew In A Bag (BIAB) is a homebrewing method where all the grains are placed in a large, mesh bag inside a single kettle. Hot water is poured over the grains to steep and extract flavors and sugars directly into the water. After the mash, the grain bag is removed, and the resulting liquid, called wort, is boiled and then cooled for fermentation. This technique simplifies traditional brewing by eliminating separate equipment like mash tuns and lautering vessels, making it more accessible and space-efficient while still delivering high-quality beer.
