Bi-VAD (Biventricular Assist Device)

A Bi-VAD, or Biventricular Assist Device, is a medical device that temporarily supports both the right and left sides of a failing heart. It helps pump blood through the body and lungs until the heart recovers or a final treatment like transplant can be performed. The device consists of pumps connected to the heart via tubes, ensuring blood flows properly.
