Bhaskaracharya (Brahmagupta)
Bhaskaracharya, also known as Bhaskara II, was a 12th-century Indian mathematician and astronomer renowned for his influential works, including the "Siddhanta Shiromani." His contributions include advanced calculations of mathematical concepts like zero, negative numbers, and algebra, along with precise astronomical calculations. Brahmagupta, an earlier mathematician from the 7th century, also made significant advances in mathematics and astronomy, particularly in understanding zero as a number and solving quadratic equations. Both scholars laid foundational principles that shaped Indian mathematics and influenced global scientific development through their innovative approaches and detailed observations.
