A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada was a spiritual teacher and founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), also known as the Hare Krishna movement. Born in 1896 in India, he dedicated his life to promoting the teachings of Lord Krishna from ancient Hindu scriptures, especially the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam. In 1965, he traveled to the United States and internationally to share these teachings, emphasizing devotion, ethics, and spiritual practice. His efforts helped spread Krishna consciousness worldwide, fostering a global community centered on devotion, meditation, and a simple, spiritual lifestyle.
