Bhai Mardana
Bhai Mardana was a prominent figure in the early days of Sikhism, known primarily as a close companion of Guru Nanak, the first Sikh Guru. Born in 1465 in what is now Pakistan, he was a Muslim minstrel and a skilled musician. Mardana played the rabab, a traditional stringed instrument, and accompanied Guru Nanak in his spiritual journeys, helping to spread the Guru's message through music. His loyalty and devotion exemplified the spirit of Sikh teachings, emphasizing equality and the universality of God, bridging cultural and religious divides in his time.
