Homi Bhabha was an influential Indian physicist, often called the "father of the Indian nuclear program." He played a pivotal role in developing India's atomic energy capabilities and established key research institutions like the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. Bhabha's work in nuclear physics contributed significantly to both scientific knowledge and India's strategic capabilities. He was not only an accomplished scientist but also an advocate for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. Tragically, he died in a plane crash in 1966, but his legacy continues in India's science and technology sectors.
