BGM-71 TOW
The BGM-71 TOW (Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided) is a shoulder-fired missile used by military forces to target tanks, armored vehicles, and fortifications. It is launched from a portable launcher and guided by an operator who keeps a sight on the missile via an optical wire link during flight. The missile uses a high-explosive warhead to penetrate armor and provide precise, long-range fire support. Its reliability and accuracy have made it a standard anti-tank weapon since the 1970s, effectively disabling or destroying hardened targets from a safe distance.
