Beta Israel
Beta Israel, also known as Ethiopian Jews, are a community with a centuries-old tradition of practicing Judaism in Ethiopia. They have distinct religious practices and cultural customs inspired by Judaism, but their practices also include unique local traditions. Historically isolated, they maintained their faith through centuries despite various challenges. In the late 20th century, many Beta Israel members migrated to Israel, reviving their religious and cultural identity there. Today, they are recognized as an integral part of Jewish history and diversity, representing a community with deep historical roots in Ethiopia and a significant presence in Israel.
