Berserkers
Berserkers were fierce warriors in Norse culture, often associated with Viking raids between the 8th and 11th centuries. They are known for their unique battle frenzy, believed to be induced by intoxicating substances or rituals, which made them nearly uncontrollable in combat. Clad in bear or wolf pelts, they would imitate the animals' ferocity, embodying an almost supernatural rage. This berserk state not only heightened their strength and resilience but also instilled fear in their enemies. Berserkers are often depicted in literature and sagas as embodying the wild spirit of nature and warrior culture in Scandinavia.
