Berlo's SMCR model
Berlo's SMCR model describes communication as a process involving four key elements: Source, Message, Channel, and Receiver. The Source is the person or entity sharing information; the Message is the information itself; the Channel is the medium used to deliver the message (like speaking or writing); and the Receiver is the person interpreting it. Effective communication depends on the skills, attitudes, and knowledge of both the Source and Receiver, as well as clarity of the Message and appropriateness of the Channel. This model helps us understand how messages are sent, received, and influenced by various factors.
