Berkeley's Theory of Ideas

Berkeley's Theory of Ideas suggests that what we perceive as physical objects aren't independent, material things but are instead collections of ideas or perceptions in our mind. He argues that existence depends on being perceived; objects exist only because they are experienced, either by us or by a divine mind. This means that reality is fundamentally made up of perceptions and the minds that perceive them, rather than external matter existing outside of perception. In this view, the continuity and consistency of the world rely on the ongoing perception provided by a universal divine mind.
