Berger des Pyrénées

The Berger des Pyrénées, also known as the Pyrenean Shepherd, is a herding dog originating from the Pyrenees mountains between France and Spain. Known for its agility, intelligence, and alertness, it was traditionally used to herd sheep and protect flocks from predators. The breed has two main types: a rough-coated variety and a smooth-coated one, both typically energetic, loyal, and highly trainable. They are well-suited for active families or working environments, excelling in obedience, agility, and herding activities.
