BEP regimen (Bleomycin, Etoposide, and Cisplatin)

The BEP regimen is a chemotherapy treatment used mainly for testicular cancer. It combines three drugs: Bleomycin, which damages cancer cells' DNA; Etoposide, which inhibits their ability to multiply; and Cisplatin, which causes DNA damage leading to cell death. Administered in cycles over several weeks, this combination targets cancer cells more effectively than individual drugs, increasing the chance of curing the disease. While effective, BEP can cause side effects like hair loss, fatigue, and risk of infection, so patients are carefully monitored throughout treatment.
