Benny Tai

Benny Tai is a Hong Kong legal scholar and activist known for advocating for democratic reforms and greater political freedom. He played a prominent role in organizing Hong Kong's 2014 pro-democracy protests, called the Umbrella Movement, which aimed to pressure China to allow fair voting. Tai’s efforts focus on increasing public participation and safeguarding civil liberties in Hong Kong’s political development.
